A memorandum of understanding was signed between Flynas, the national carrier, and Eve Air Mobility to verify the possibility of operating electric aircraft with vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) in the Kingdom in the future.

“Electric rotorcraft will begin operating in Riyadh and Jeddah by 2026.” The parties are studying the possibility of launching electric rotorcraft in the Kingdom in 2026, and this agreement will strengthen the aviation industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by supporting the future of the local electric aviation system.

Bandar Al-Muhanna, CEO and Managing Director of Flynas, said that the agreement with Eve Air Mobility is in line with the company’s strategy of taking initiatives aimed at achieving a sustainable impact on the environment, society and economy, and is consistent with the national goals of neutralizing gas emissions. He pointed out that Eve Air Mobility is a pioneering company in this field.
